Sineimage security camera lens flare test chart YE0281
FLARE TARGET (ACCORDING TO UPCOMING ISO 18844) YE0281 is is designed to determine the amount of lens flare, which is added to an image by a camera.
Flare arises from reflections of light at every surface inside of the lens and camera. It reduces the image quality by producing a diffuse veil over the image field and thus leads to a loss of contrast.
Super black holes are mounted at the back side behind each hole. The back side of the chart is metallic and the super black holes are designed with magnets. That way releasing the super black holes for storing the chart is easy to handle. The super black holes of the YE2081 generate the lowest possible black level because they absorb a high proportion of light. But this black level will be affected (raised) by flare.
Dimension with super black holes: 1245 x 835 x 121 mm.
Technical information
The test chart is available in size A1066. The relevant area used for the analysis has a size of 750 x 500 mm.
Recesses are arranged on this reflective test chart on the two diagonals, against which 17 light traps (super black holes) can be attached from the backside. Testers can remove the robust light traps easily during assembly, chart changes or for storage.
Standard illumination systems like Hedler halogen lamps are suitable for the illumination.
